Coach Lewis Discusses Club Soccer: The Next Step?

 

 

Coach Kip Lewis, Owner/Director:

A soccer junkie, Kip has been coaching soccer for the past 12 years since graduating as a 4 year player from Castleton State College where he earned 2nd Team All-Conference recognition his senior year. His passion for the game and ambition to have in impact on American soccer are what drives the Upper 90 programs.

Kip is currently the Mens Varsity soccer coach at King Philip High School in Wrentham, Ma., where he has taught Spanish and currently works as the Student Success Leader. He started coaching a U-13 team in 1998 while still a student as well as working with the Castleton State Mens program. After college Kip went on to coach with the Crusaders Soccer Club for two years on the south shore. He also gained valuable experience while teaching and coaching for 5 years at Marshfield High School where he coached the freshmen, JV and eventually Varsity teams.

His Marshfield teams won the Old Colony League qualifying for the state tournament in both efforts during the 2004 & 2005 seasons. In 2008 & 2009 seasons the King Philip program qualified for the state tournament and were South Sectional Semi-finalists in 09'. He has been named league Coach of the Year (2004) and Eastern Massachusetts Coach of the Year (2009). In addition to the King Philip and Upper 90 programs Kip will be coaching a Girls U-15 team with John Smith's Soccer Club. He has earned a license from the USSF and has his NSCAA National Diploma.

Kip lives with his wife and two young children in Wrentham.
